ACTIONS AND IMPACT

Our Actions

The principles of action, transparency and collective development guide the values and governance of our association on a daily basis.

Going there to understand and respect the diverse cultures and communities, while remaining attentive to their different ways of proceeding, of communicating and of thinking, makes it possible to act in the most efficient way possible because the closest to the most destitute.

Play a leading role in providing our effective help to precarious children. Allow them to benefit from a comprehensive and sustainable quality education while having a real approach to the family and allow them solid future prospects.

The actions of M.I.V. take place at the public primary school EPP MAHAZENGY and its annex: EPP ANNEX MAHAZENGY located near the town of Fianarantsoa.

Our goal for the coming years is to continue to ensure the education of these 62 children (and to extend our impact to more children), so that they have access to long-term education and complete their cycle of education. learning, as well as providing them with food assistance. Indeed, some of these children walk up to 5 km on an empty stomach to go to school, which exhausts them, decreases their concentration and learning abilities. More information will be communicated on this subject.

COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOL MATERIALS

We plan to collect school materials, excluding textbooks, during events organized in schools and other establishments. It will be brought in especially when our members go into the field.

Indeed, each year many supplies are purchased in France and some are not used. By clearing your cupboards make a gesture that is not only ecological but also humanitarian and social by offering them to children who cannot afford to buy them in Madagascar. Notebooks, pens or any other material is essential in the learning method and allows lessons to be taken seriously, efficiently and rigorously.

The sponsorship funding package will also include the price of school materials for textbooks to be purchased in Madagascar and any missing materials.

SPONSORSHIP, TUITION FEES AND FOOD

A sponsorship system will be put in place. The concept is for a family to pay for school fees, materials and meals for children in dire straits, who do not have the financial means. A report detailing these charges and what is included will be available.

Children do not have the means to finance their school fees and materials. A large majority of them walk up to 5km to go to school on an empty stomach, which is why we are also committed to providing them with meals so that they can follow the lessons in good conditions.

Sponsorship will be set up in nursery and primary schools to set up the sponsorship system to set up the exchange of letters and for all people wishing to make a commitment to a child.

A follow-up of the child’s school year will be sent by email.

EXCHANGE OF LETTERS AND VIDEOS

An exchange of letters and videos to the extent possible will be set up. This will have an impact not only for Malagasy children but also for children attending school in France or adults who sponsored these children. In Madagascar children will receive an exchange and comfort by creating a link. In schools, this is an exercise in writing and writing letters while opening the mind to the world and Malagasy culture, with values such as altruism.

The video format will bring a much more personal dimension and will allow everyone to project themselves into the life of their interlocutor, with one of our essential values to respect the Malagasy culture.

Sponsors will be able to follow the progress of the children’s school year, with the skills acquired and school reports.

Impacts of access to education

Integrating a school curriculum allows them to ensure safety by following an adapted learning program with adults who have the ability to transmit their knowledge.

Despite the establishment of laws to ban child labor in Madagascar, forced labor from the age of 5 is still very present in this country in great poverty. By working in climatic and physical conditions close to slavery, they are drastically deprived of the opportunity to build a future on solid foundations. Children in very precarious situations have no choice but to engage in prostitution where they experience abuse or sexual assault and exploitation in vanilla plantations or in mines and quarries.

Having access to education from an early age is the basis for building a child’s future. Each school year is not to be overlooked as it is a new stage in development and learning, which will open doors to future prospects.

Children will become actors in their society in the near future. Developing a wealth of knowledge and understanding about how their country works is necessary to engage in mindful decision making. Indeed, forced labor is a brake on the development of the country.

By allowing access to education, children are not subjected to forced labor which dehumanizes them from a very young age and follows an appropriate school curriculum that secures them not only in the present but for their future. They will have the opportunity to make conscious decisions for their future and to be an actor in their society.
